Vesalii Anatomy

Desktop Application

Vesalii 3D Desktop Application

Vesalii offers a powerful and visually detailed 3D application for desktop computers operating on both Windows and macOS. The application allows users to view, explore, and interact with any system of the human body systems through an incredibly detailed 3D model. The application also enables viewing CT, MRI, and X-ray images in 3D. The aim of the application is to make an easily accessible way to study the human body and how it comes together. The body systems covered by this application include the skeletal system, muscular system, cardiovascular system, nervous system, lymphatic system, joints, endocrine system, digestive system, urinary system, respiratory system, reproductive system, and integumentary system.

To develop the 3D model for this application, Vesalii consulted anatomists and doctors and even hired anatomy specialists to be part of its in-house team. This diligent work and determination for a medically accurate representation of the human body resulted in the high-quality 3D model that Vesalii offers to its users.

Vesalii did not stop at that, but it also worked on developing and implementing interactive tools in the application that make it easier and more time-efficient to work and explore the model. Additionally, detailed anatomical text information for each part in each system was developed and included to enhance understanding of human body structures.

These tools allow users to isolate a single or multiple structures, layers, or organs and compare them with other structures or view them from multiple angles to gain a comprehensive understanding of the part and its relationship to nearby structures.

Vesalii Anatomy 3D is comprehensive as it offers additional features and extensive medical content and database that also cover:
•    Radiology
•    Histology
•    DICOM Converter and viewer tool

Systems of the Body

Twelve systems of the human body are available in Vesalii Anatomy 3D and VR:

Skeletal System

Comprehensive and impeccably detailed model of the human skeletal system. See and study the skeletal system as you have never before.

Muscular System

Detailed execution of the muscular system accurately shows the origin and insertion of skeletal muscles to show how they are related to bones and how they act on joints or support the body.

Cardiovascular System

Look deep into the immensely detailed cardiovascular system from the heart and major arteries and veins to the smallest capillaries throughout the human body.

Nervous System

Easily look into and learn about one of the most complex systems of the human body: the nervous system. Trace nerve pathways from source to target to better understand how this intricate system works.

Lymphatic System

Discover the lymphatic system with all its vessels and nodes in a fully constructed and accurate 3D model.

Joints System

Learn all you need to know about the joints system and how it relates to other systems of the body, especially the skeletal and muscular systems.

Respiratory System

View all the components of the respiratory system, including the lungs and their incredibly detailed bronchial tree.

Endocrine System

Learn about the endocrine system and how its glands help keep the body functioning like clock-work. The model of the endocrine system includes all the glands and glandular cells of the endocrine system.

Digestive System

View and learn using an accurate model of the digestive tract and the supporting digestive organs to gain a complete understanding of the human digestive system.

Urinary System

Explore and find out more about the kidneys and other components of the urinary system of the human body, and learn about the important differences between male and female anatomy in this system.

Integumentary System

See the skin and its appendages on the incredibly detailed model to learn all you could about the integumentary system.

Reproductive System

Explore the reproductive system of both the male and female body in great detail.

Application Tools

All Vesalii applications come with various innovative tools that make for a more user-friendly experience and facilitate the study of anatomy, radiology, and histology.

Discovery

The discovery tool allows you to explore the layers of the body below the surface. You to select more than one system with this tool to look through each with ease.

Drawing

The drawing tool is designed to allow you to draw lines directly on the 3D body parts of the model or on a board in the background, giving you more freedom to focus on the body parts you want or write down your notes.

Explode

The explode tool breaks down certain parts to their primary components to give you a complete picture of how these parts come together to form a whole.

Fade

The fade tool gives the selected part an almost transparent texture, allowing you to see where the part is and what lies beneath it all at the same time.

Hide

The hide tool removes the selected part completely from the scene to allow you to discover what parts or layers lie underneath.

Manage modules

The manage modules tool is available with the modules plugin to give you better access and control over modules. It allows you to view all available modules and easily create and save new ones for use at any time.

Screenshot

The screenshot tool allows you to capture a screenshot of the current scene and save it on your device to view or study at any time.

Isolate

The isolate tool can be used to isolate a selected part or group. i.e., only the isolated part or group will be visible in the scene. This gives faster and more streamlined control over what you wish to observe in the scene and how you want to approach it.

Sticker

The stickers tool enables you to pin notes on any body part you desire, allowing you to write personalized notes you can back to later and quickly pick up where you left off.

Transform Tool

The transform tool is used to rotate the model of the body on any of the three axes (X, Y, and Z) to allow you to view the model or any body part exactly from the angle you desire.

Heart Play/Stop

The heart play\stop tool is an amazing way to add a more realistic aspect to the model. The tool can be used to play or stop the heartbeat with a realistic motion and the distinctive sound of a beating heart.

Select/Reset/Move

With the select tool, you can choose any body part on the model and freely move it or rotate it to see it in the way you desire. You can then use the reset to return the part to its original position.

Duplicate

The duplicate tool allows the user to create a duplicate copy of the selected body part to help compare it with others at the same time and in the same view.

Fade Others

The fade others tool enables the user to fade all the body parts visible in the scene except for the selected part or group, which allows for a better view of the selected part while still able to see its location in relation to neighboring parts.

Freeze

The freeze tool allows the user to freeze a part or group, preventing any action from being taken on that part. The part or group must be unfrozen first for any action to be taken.

Freeze All

The freeze all tool allows the user to freeze all parts appearing in the scene, preventing any action from being taken on the part. The parts must be unfreezed first for any action to be taken.

Part Label

This tool is used to display labels that point to the part or group and show its name for easier reference.

Neighbor Parts

The Neighbor Parts tool allows you to view the body parts that are adjacent to the part you selected. The parts appearing using this tool can be filtered by the body systems, so that neighboring parts of a certain system only appear.

Rotate

The rotate tool is used to rotate the selected body part in any direction to help you easily see it from different angles.

Cut multiple

The Cut Multiple tool is used to cut several parts from all active systems and in any direction the user wants all in a single action, giving the user more control over how they want to see the model.

Cut single

The Cut Single tool allows the user to cut a single body part any way they choose to reveal what structures lie behind the cut part.

Vesalii Plugins

In addition to the numerous features of applications, Vesalii offers even more features that can be purchased according to your needs.
