Vesalii offers a powerful and visually detailed 3D application for desktop computers operating on both Windows and macOS. The application allows users to view, explore, and interact with any system of the human body systems through an incredibly detailed 3D model. The application also enables viewing CT, MRI, and X-ray images in 3D. The aim of the application is to make an easily accessible way to study the human body and how it comes together. The body systems covered by this application include the skeletal system, muscular system, cardiovascular system, nervous system, lymphatic system, joints, endocrine system, digestive system, urinary system, respiratory system, reproductive system, and integumentary system.
To develop the 3D model for this application, Vesalii consulted anatomists and doctors and even hired anatomy specialists to be part of its in-house team. This diligent work and determination for a medically accurate representation of the human body resulted in the high-quality 3D model that Vesalii offers to its users.
Vesalii did not stop at that, but it also worked on developing and implementing interactive tools in the application that make it easier and more time-efficient to work and explore the model. Additionally, detailed anatomical text information for each part in each system was developed and included to enhance understanding of human body structures.

Vesalii Radiology offers radiological images taken with the most common imaging techniques to help unveil as many details of the human body as possible.
CT
View CT images that cover the entire body of the male and female, in three axes (axial, coronal, and sagittal) and seven densities (brain, chest, lung, abdomen, angio, and bones). The total number of available CT images exceeds 200,000 images.
View MRI images that cover the entire body of the male and female, in three axes (axial, coronal, and sagittal) and two densities. The total number of available MRI images exceeds 30,000 images.

Full Body
The Full Body view displays the images for the entire body and in the axes and densities available for easier navigation across the body.
The Body Regions view displays the images according to five predetermined regions for more focused navigation of a certain region. The body regions in the application are the head, chest, abdomen, thigh, and lower leg and foot, which are also available in three axes.
A guide that can help you easily see where the image you are looking at is in the body.
Hide images with a slider according to region and axis to see inside the model from different angles.
Reveal new images in the scene based on axis and region to complete the already existing model and see how they all fit together in real-time.

The Select tool allows the user to select a slice from the model so that other tools can be used on it.
The Highlight tool highlights an image from the scene, making it easier to see the specific image and select it.
The Hide tool makes the selected slice disappear from the scene to be able to focus better on what you need and reduce clutter in the scene.
The Fade tool allows the user to fade the selected image(s); faded images become transparent, giving you a better view of their relationship to other images.
The Isolate tool isolates the selected image so that only the selected image appears in the scene for a more focused study of the image.
The Measure tool measures the distance between any two points on the image, giving you a better understanding of the relation between body parts appearing on the image.
The transform tool is used to rotate the images on any of the three axes (X, Y, and Z) to allow you to view them from the angle you desire.

2D Window
The 2D window allows you to see three images at the same time and at the same body level, with each image being from a different axis, allowing the user to compare between them easily.
Reveal landmarks on a single slice that show the exact location of all body structures on the image. The total number of landmarks for all images exceeds 2,650,000.
The contrast feature allows the user to control the contrast of the images to make certain structures more visible. Contrast options available include organs, muscles, bones, and blood vessels.
